Sean Stewart started in online marketing in 1996 when he served as Senior Promotions Manager for FreeShop.com (now Aptimus). While there he orchestrated one of the first online charity promotions entitled “Hunger-Free Holiday”, a promotion in partnership with Macy’s that included a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, celebrity spokesperson Susan Lucci, an online donation website, and raised enough money to deliver over 700,000 lbs. of food to food banks across the United States. Later, Sean joined online direct marketer goNextdoor Direct, where he worked as Director of Communications where he helped define the brand, secure media spots, and created the company’s second email marketing product — Loyalty Builder Premier, a concept still used by then customers Duke’s Chowder House and the family of restaurants run by Neighborhood Grills. Sean later became the Director of Marketing for Planner Systems, LLC where he helped redefine the brand, streamline the product line, introduce new marketing vehicles such as permission email marketing, start new product lines and revamp the Web site including introducing one of the early online CRM solutions for the real estate industry. And in more recent years, Sean spent time at Microsoft, initially as a full-time employee and then later as a consultant where he built new support tools; managed development of break-fix for Microsoft’s main online support portal; performed compete work against OpenOffice.org, mySQL, and Google Docs; and managed a team of readiness logistics professionals who organized training events to teach Microsoft employees and partners how to sell solutions utilizing Azure. In 2019, Sean launched Digi Hammer Social Media Marketing where he helps clients from multiple industries launch social media efforts, manage social media pages and posts, create and managed social media ad campaigns, engage client audiences, and build loyal followings of paying customers.
